Duet Technologies, Inc. provides management, administrative, and other non-clinical support services to independent primary care practices under a written management services agreement with each practice. The summary below describes our general service model. It is not a contract, does not modify any agreement, and the terms of each practice's agreement control.

What Duet does not do
Duet does not practice medicine and does not direct clinical care. All clinical decisions rest solely with the practice and its clinicians.
Duet does not select, hire, supervise, or terminate clinicians; set the practice's fees or charges; determine the scope of services the practice offers; or own patient medical records.
Patient records and data
Patient medical records remain the property of the practice at all times. Duet accesses patient information only as needed to perform contracted services and operates as a business associate under HIPAA pursuant to a business associate agreement. Duet may create and use de-identified data consistent with HIPAA's de-identification standards for purposes including benchmarking, reporting, and product development.
